You may want to take your floor color into consideration. Warm or cool tone ? Are your appliances white or stainless steel? You may want to use this as an opportunity to add a pop of color. I would at least break up the white a bit with neutral ( gray, some glass or stone tile with metallic accents,etc)

I would suggest using a gray colored backsplash like in the picture below or some other color to break up the white color pattern. What sort of accent colors will you be using in the kitchen? What color are the walls?
