Don't recall if ours was 30" or 36", but it was a Samsung and I was really pleased with it. You also must keep in mind this was the first brand new range I've ever cooked on/baked in, so only other comparisons are to older models/brands and nothing fancy. Everything baked evenly in the oven and it was very spacious inside. Setting the controls was easy and I liked that it had a number pad so you didn't have to keep scrolling through numbers to select the desired temperature. The cooktop was a little tough to keep clean like other reviews mention, although that also depends on the cooks in your house and whether or not they clean up each time or just cook with old spills on top. (Avoiding the latter makes things easier.) Ours had a five burner configuration on top and I was surprised when I had multiple pots on there that they weren't all touching one another and it wasn't overly crowded. We had it for 2 or 3 years before moving and no complaints. No matter what you get, don't use the self clean feature all the time (or ever if possible-- it fries the electronics on any model/brand) and that's where some of those bad reviews stem from. Now we've got an induction cooktop and induction is the way to go if you can, so I'd recommend induction if you have any interest and it fits the budget.
