Congratulations on your new home! These things always take time to come together. I would arrange your desk to face the sliding glass doors, assuming you have an attractive view out there. Maybe have a comfy recliner chair or sofa too, as well as a desk chair. The long cabinet looks good, depending what you do with the rest of the room, but if you want more storage or display space you could put a taller wall cabinet / display case along one wall. I'd think about lighting... A large table lamp on a side table or maybe a floor lamp with a double light/reading lamp attached, as well as a task lamp on your desk. The lighting will help create mood a lot for your working space. How attached are you to the rug? The splash of color is great but it could maybe be bigger? hope something is helpful... It looks like a great blank canvas.

Thank you! I like the idea of the desk facing the sun porch- and yes it is a nice view from the office. I really love the burst of color the rug brings in, but I agree it is too small. I will have to find a new spot for it. Were you able to take a look at the rest of the photos? One thing I'm struggling with is that there isn't one "blank" wall. They all have either a window or doors so it makes it hard to find a storage cabinet or display case.
