We are buying a new house, and I finally have a large enough foyer for a round skirted table. I think a 3' table will be too puny here, and I think the tape measure in the pic shows 4'. My question is - what is the rule of thumb for height? All of the inexpensive tables I see (to put under yards of fabric!) are ~30" which seems short. The first pic is the foyer (not my stuff - the rug and side table will go, and we might put an armoire where the settee is), and the second pic is an inspiration. Thanks for your advice!
