I have done this combination many times because it is classic and won't trend out anytime soon. I would recommend that you use a white or light grey grout because the subway tile may get too busy with a darker grout. I think a more simple backsplash is beautiful because there are usually a lot of things on the countertop, in front of the backsplash anyway. Hope this helps!

Hi - one more quick question. Have you every used this counter (Lagos Blue) with Marmoleum colour Tobacco Leaf? Unfortunately there are problems getting the Bonsai to us. Thx

I absolutely love the look of this kitchen and have referred to it often as we select materials for our kitchen renovation. Thank you for sharing your work here to help others! One thing I'm trying to figure out currently is our faucets. Here it looks like you went with a different finish on the faucets from the oil rubbed bronze on the lights and cabinet pulls. Is this correct or just how the light is shining on them?

Thanks so much for your wonderful comments. Yes, they are different finishes and it is perfectly fine to combine a dark finish with a silver finish in most situations. You will want to be careful of combining chrome and polished nickel or satin nickel as chrome is more cool and nickel is warm. Good Luck!
