Sconces are the best, in my view, especially for getting flattering light when you're at the mirror (lovely mirror, by the way). We have a guide to light sizing that can help you get the correct sconces! Let me know if you'd like some recommendations.

Sconces flanking the mirror are best. If you can add a recessed can over each sink, that will give you additional light as well. If not, be sure the bulbs on the sconces are bright - maybe even 2 arms each if you have the space.

If you can't go with sconces, like if you just can't get the wiring in the wall the right way, then I would say a vanity bar like the one you showed is the next best thing. Definitely go for the sconces first, though!

Too many lights to use on the sides. This bar style is more for above the mirror - which I am not a SuperFan of...they remind me of builder spec homes. :)

yes i meant to put that over the round mirror...i didn't think sconces on the sides with offer me enough light. and i don't want recessed right above the vanity.

my contractor suggested pendant lights on either side of the mirror. but not sure if I'm that progessive

While it might seem like sconces won't offer a lot of light, there are many varieties that are perfectly designed for bathroom use. Furthermore, Randall Whitehead (who calls himself The Lighting Guy and is a great go-to resource on lighting advice) recommends the use of sconces for the best cross illumination at the sink. We definitely trust his lighting advice!
