Thanks for the reply. I have been looking for a picture that shows the Rain Cloud with a seam like this. I want to do a large island with the Rain Cloud on it, but was afraid the seam would be too visible. This looks great, and I can't even tell there is a seam in this picture!

Anything over 30" wide will have a seam. Depending on length we would run the seam down the middle (this looks better then offset) or seam it perpendicular to the length. Sometimes this looks better then lentghwise. Hope this helps you. If your anywhere close to us we would be glad to do it for you.

Our island will be 4'x7', so it sounds like our best option will be to run the seam lengthwise down the middle of the island. Would you recommend a straight seam or having the seam be wavy (serpentine) running the length of the counter? I have seen both options while searching the internet for options. Also, do you happen to have a close up picture of one of the seams you have done on Rain Cloud or a similar pattern like Witch Hazel? I think the pattern should be forgiving enough to hide a seam, but I'm still a little nervous without actually seeing it.

It's a draw to which will look better. Serpentine could make it better or could make it worst. Witch hazel will do better then rain cloud because it has less contrast in colors. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Thanks, you have been extremely helpful. Also, thanks for the tip that Witch Hazel would be more forgiving. I was thinking the Rain Cloud was more subtle in color variance and would be more forgiving, but I've only been able to look at the tiny sample pieces.
