Doing a renovation in my house including replacing 4 windows. The room in question has been gutted and is basically down to the studs. The old small windows have been removed, the space has been enlarged and my contractor put in United windows without asking me first. I told him they will need to be removed as I don't want those windows.

Based on all the positive threads on Okna's I've decided these are definitely the way to go. I've located a dealer (hopefully they are willing to just sell me the windows) and will be calling them to place an order but I'm wonder.....based on the situation, what exactly do I order?

Considering the room is down to the studs do I get replacement windows? I'm seeing terms like "fins" or full tear outs. Do they apply to me? Are they different from replacement windows? What exactly do I tell the salesman other than "I need four Okna 500 deluxes 36 x 52" ?
