Which table (left side) of the picture should I keep? Square or circle

I would keep the circular one, not because your coffee table is also circular but rather because the sofa is rectilinear and the square table is a heavy-looking piece that really asserts its "square-ness". Together, they seem a bit too heavy. Note, too, that the curves in the circular table's stretcher pick up the curves in the pattern of the drapery fabric.

If you are keeping the coffee table and the floor lamp, then keep the square. The shape works better and style doesn't compete with the coffee table and the circles on the lamp. The round table is too fussy for this room.

    I prefer the square.

I prefer a round table but I think the style of your tables seems "off" with the seating.

The circular table works better in that room. Square table does not work in the flow of the room nor is it to scale.

decoenthusiaste - tell me more. When you say the style of the tables, are you referring to the end tables? Which style would you recommend? Do you have a couple of examples you could share?

Are those the last two tables left in the world? I would not use either and continue to find a better suit;)

patladine - Thank you for your thoughts. So do you think the square end table is too big? Do you have a circular table that you would recommend? I have been looking forever.

I would go with something less shiny or round, as you have many of those already.

I think a bit of metal bling would work well, and a coffee table that matches the curio.

I really like the simplicity of the square table. No need to continue shopping!

If those are your only two options, I would select the round as it has a more airy look and doesn't throw off the balance of the space. Antiquing the mirrored top might tie it in to the room a little better.

I like the idea of the mirrored table but it just seems too much for the room. It diminishes the sofa or maybe it is the angle.

What about a small chairside chest with drawers for an eclectic look. Try Wisteria or Ballard Designs or Howchow all online. Howchow is having a nice sale at this time too. You just haven't looked enough. Sorry but you can do better. I think you also need a simpler table lamp. That is too complicated I think. Maybe glazed taupe finish?

I checkec on Wayfair.com under small side tables and small chest for living room. Was not able to get them to pull up but here is one reference that you might think about?
