I can help to narrow it down to the two on the left.

I think a light grey or soft white would keep the room from getting too dark! Just a thought.....

I'm sure you are anxious to change the wall color, but first get a different area rug. If that one is staying, it should be under the front legs of the 2 sofas. Consider moving some furniture around. Place the two sofas facing each other as far away from the fireplace as possible. Slide your TV and media console as flush to the fireplace wall as possible, consider the heat from the fireplace too. Put the blue chair on the wall between the fireplace and sliding door. Since you don't have table lamps, repurpose the end tables and only use the coffee table. This will open up the room. The baby things are temporary and can be placed by the sliding glass door that doesn't open. Wall color should be after all the bigger pieces are in place. I would find a cool (bluish) gray that is in your brick fireplace. Keep the shade a cool color to go with your big blue chair. It's difficult to choose a color as computer colors vary. I would stay away from the warm tones, so #1 is out. The middle gray looks best, but consider it will look dark in the room. Only you can judge if it will be too dark based on the light in the room. #3 has too much lavender (warmth) for your blue chair. Try your colors by the blue chair to see which works best. All of them look great with white couches.

I like the second color from the right. If you choose the left color though, make sure you test it next to the fireplace. I'm concerned about how it will look with the brick. The curtains below are available in store and online at Target.

Barbara so you're saying one sofa where it is right now against the sliding flash doors and the other opposite of it? if so we don't want to block the entrance to the family at all (it's a super wide entrance). and if that's how im understanding it then the wall opposite the brick wall would be empty?? Also we were considering putting up dry wall to the left of the fireplace and mounting the TV onto that. what do you think?

er612 in was leaning towards the second color from right as well. Many people including family and friends on fb are all saying second from left. I'm concerned it may be too dark for an already dark room. I'm so confused now. I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to this stuff!

s_mhammad, if you move the end table that is currently between the two white sofas, slide one sofa closer to that corner. Looks like you should have enough room to place the other sofa on the 69" wall? The wall in-between (where you have the four colors on the wal)l is a good place for a big mirror and ottomans beneath it. It's hard to tell the dimensions of your furniture.

Can you move the TV to the other side of the room? Then you can create two seating areas. Here's an example with your existing furniture...

I like the 3rd paint. I would consider painting the bricks. There is quite a bit of yellow there..it could cast a honey tone on your furniture when the light hits it.

Consider a white wash treatment for the brick with a lower opacity.

Barbara there would be just enough space for the couch. I would've never thought of this layout you suggest. I will try it out.

err I could move the TV to where you are suggesting however it would make for super awkward viewing for people siting on couch against the wall. Any other ideas?

Timothy another designer suggested painting the brick however my husband refuses to. so you're saying if I go with the second colour which is actually a taupe my furniture may look different ?

With adding bold colors of yellow/teal, I think the wall color should be the more neutral and soft - I think the third one in from the left is the best and it also suits your rug and fireplace the most. It's very close though to what you already have and if you want a change, the last on the right. Either of these colors will be easier to decorate around.

I agree with changing out the furniture layout as well. If you do so try putting the longer couch in front of the window.

I was also drawn to the color second from the left, but I agree that it may be too dark for the room. If you have the color swatch card for this one, go up a few shades on the card and see how that looks!

I created a color that is not one of your three colors. A bit warmer to go with the rest of the room and the rug. Then the wall need some colorful art.

Maureen those are my thoughts. the 3rd is *my* choice. 2nd is my husbands and like 50 other people I have asked in a poll on fb! the rug is not staying. we are planning to go lighter to open up the room.

Not a big fan of your coffee table. It looks old and bulky in the room and not in keeping with the style of the new sofas. You could do a nice upholstered one as it looks like you gave little ones. It would bring some color into the room.

I would put the long white couch up against the wall. I'm not a fan of it covering your sliding glass door or any part of the window. Leave the small one where it's at. I like the blue chair where it is. However, I would try mounting the tv on the wall corner and get a smaller table for the equipment. The furniture it's on right now is way to big for the room and the space. Looking good.

I wouldn't put anything in front of the window. Remember not all spaces need to be filled and not all space is considered empty. If the side table on the left, can't fit comfortably next to the long sofa, I would scratch it. A floor lamp and magazine rack can go in it's place. Let the light from the window come in without anything blocking it. I also feel that the room needs some pattern. If you can scratch the rug, replace it with something with a print and incorporate the blue chair in it. If the rug is a keeper...then I would add pattern maybe to a tall vase and some rectangle pillows.

Consider changing the window treatment to curtains...again with a pattern.

Lol ok so use to having my spaces filled. if you heard what my husband said you'd give him an earful.

GM! Believe it or not, I like the yellow curtains. Such as awesome pop of color. And I like both sets of pillows together...both of the ones with blue. Don't be scared to mix patterns together. LOL! My hubby sometimes questions things I'm doing but then when he see's it all put together... he's like "wow that worked".
