Walmart will take anything back, with or without tags, no questions. I worked for one of their vendors and they took back things that were completely ridiculous. Worn out clothing and shoes for example.

Maybe because im in a little country town, but they need the tags/packaging and sales slip. Hopefully i can learn from this mistake lol

Mama P, take it back. They know what their product line is, and if not go grab a new one on display and show them.

if you have a joanns they have a no sew throw (you pick the fleece) that makes up easily. no sewing required. i helped make a bunch for our local teen shelter last year. the kids got to keep the blankets which they really liked.

They will take it back especially since you have sales slip. I would wash next one in cold. Check tag and see what the instructions say.

Poppy, this is my kind sewing, or should I say no sewing, lol. I did make one of those, I think, I used a print I think it was fire trucks and a solid..cut strips around the edges the whole way around and tied them together...is that the one your talking about? it turned out cute, I may do this for the boys, actually every year they get new pj's to wear xmas eve, I think I'll make them xmas eve throws this year. Thanks Poppy for reminding ne about this.

That's too bad, they were probably made in different plants or countries. Polyester can be that way, I've had some poly blankets last for years and others fall apart within months. I always wash my poly blankets in cold water and dry on low heat.

They should take it back as long as you have the receipt, I've returned bed sheets without the packaging.

They send the returns back to the company that they got them from most of the time, so the company will replace them back into their (WM) inventory.

As I said, mama, I loathe fleece. I am strictly a wool and cotton gal..but I LOVE this throw. My mother was visiting recently and loved it so much that we got online and ordered one for her.

Joann puts their fleece on sale for 40 or 50% off every few weeks, but not all of it at the same time, so it pays to keep track with their mailing or email list.

The cheapest solid color fleece they sell pills very badly - it's often already staring to do it on the bolt, but the no pill and blizzard holds up better. My dog has a crate mat I made 10 years ago that I think has the no pill fleece and while the pile is very flattened it's held up well to years of hot heavy duty washes.
