Window treatments -- same in both living room and dining room?

I have a center entry colonial with a very small entry way. I have just installed a neutral valance with sheers in my living room, and really like them. Can I do the same window treatments in both rooms -- same fabrics and style?

Yes -- this will give you a unified look!
No -- this will be a decorating faux pas!
