I personally did not like Wisk at all - I had one of the "he compatible" liquids and the suds were insane... Also was not a fan of the scent. I gave the bottle away pretty quick.

I've also given plenty of Tide away, mostly due to the scent not agreeing with me, but out of the two I definitely prefer it.

@ recordaras....Wisk that says HE in big writing is much different that "he compatible" (that is SUDS-o-RAMA). Wisk HE has the "right" amount of suds and rinses clean, and I found the scent to be pretty great; In fact so much better than any Tide offering.

But, I will use my Vintage Tide HE Original powder for many, many years as nothing smells or works better to me!!

I don't think I've ever seen the true HE version sold around here, but I did read that several of you on here have tried and liked it.

I used some Wisk.. a few nights ago. The HE Compatible one. It didn't seem so sudsy during the main wash, but it'd never rinse out. And I barely used two tablespoons.

7 Rinse Cycles. Not sure what HE Machines their using, but... it's certainly not for mine.

I like Wisk, old and new, for bedding it does a great job, however Tide probably has more enzymes I'm not sure. Wisk lables their bottles as Deep Cleaning, Attracks Trapped Body Oils and Sweat...for me it has done exactly what it claims, but I have soft water and wash in hot. I'm unsure how it would do on how it would do on food stains, I haven't tested that out unless I forgot, lol.

Tide as far as liquids, I'm not a fan, the ultra Stain Release works well and smells, maybe better than the other flavors, I have the Tide with April Fresh liquid and I've found a tiny splash of it in a load with Tide a Tide free pod smells nice and does a good job.

Wisk is weird because not only do they have a big HE detergent and a little HE detergent, they also have a no HE detergent. I had thought the HE compatible WAS the regular top loader stuff until I saw the bottle without the HE at Ralphs over the weekend. I'm not sure what the point of having 3 versions of their standard detergent is. I've only used the big HE version, but if the HE compatible is super sudsy then the regular must be INSANE.

Hmm, is that an older formula? Because all the bottles I've seen recently are red. The one with bleach I've seen is labeled Deep Clean Oxi Complete.

Yes it is older Larsi and Mich think between 6&10years but I haven't dated it yet...it smells terrific. Lol. And does a very good job.

Wisk pods are good if you can find them. Didn't have a suds issue with them and scent was good.

4 years late here... I used to work at Unilever so i have some knowledge. I must indicate that I'm referring to bottled liquid forms of Tide and Wisk.

As a general laundry detergent, Tide has always outperformed all competitors, AFAIK

If you want laundry detergent that is easier on your skin, nose, and your clothes, All Free clear is very much in the lead there.

I'm not sure about Tide's formula but Wisk is enzyme based and will thus clean your clothes better the longer you have it working through the fabric. It's not effective to use extra Wisk in the washer, what makes the difference is the time that you allow those enzymes to do their thing. Because of this, Wisk can actually outperform Tide. Because of that, I think I'd rather get the bottle than the pods, since you'd have more control over how much soap you use that way.

I would suggest Wisk for long, and/or heavy duty cycles, Tide for general use, and All Free Clear for more delicate clothes, sensitive skin, or sensitive noses.

Personally? I prefer Wisk. I'm on a farm and often have to clean some really dirty clothes and I know it gets the job done.

Wisk has been out of production for a few years now. Where are you buying it? Did you get gifted a several year supply of Wisk as a Unilever employee before production was ceased?
