Silver strand and repose gray are by SW is a nice colors. Google them to see pics.

You could paint those bookshelves white, then do a darker color for the walls. What color paint did you have in mind? The ones on the wall look really dark.

Thanks so much for a response! Agree that is too dark. I just went to Sherwin Williams and am looking at: Calico, Copen Blue, Contented, Silver Mist as options. Also love the thought of painting furniture. Also looking at Wood Tile or Laminate (looks like wood - darker.)

So paint you are leaning toward blues and gray blues?
For flooring have you thought of lux vinyl planks? I was going to do laminate but lvp looked better, more durable, and were cheaper
