I never heard much about skirret before. Now I read that it is one of things they probably had at the first Thanksgiving. Or the first Puritan one. If you look on wikipedia, there are several historic recipes.

Native Jerusalem artichokes were also likely to be there.

That's why it takes me so long to view your list. I am looking those things up. I am getting lost, too, and asking myself "wait, is she looking for this or she has it?" LOL I'm catching on, skirret is English or European and Jerusalem artichokes are native. Are these plants related? Well, yes and no, it turns out.

Tomorrow I'll try to get packs put together. Thurs is Thanksgiving, so that's a no-go for the PO. I should be able to get packs in the mail on Fri though.

Susan - I just opened your pack. You did an amazing job! Wait till you all see this: Susan sent seeds attached to a picture of her garden showing the plants for the seeds she sent. You get to see it before you grow it!

I'm sure this will be obvious to most people, based on the seeds, but in case someone doesn't realize it, the packs of Marianne's Roma Tomato and the Orange Butterfly plant have their labels reversed.

Good news... I decided to tackle the project tonight, so packs are ready to go. They will be dropped off at the PO tomorrow.

A bit of business: I had to sub in slightly larger envelopes for a couple of you, in order for Susan's beautiful card to fit.
