Advice and opinions requested regarding water softeners. We have well
water, and need to soften our well water! Is it worth it to go with one of
the big name companies, or can you get just as good a product (at a
lower price) by going with something from Lowe's, Home Depot or a
hardware store? I haven't yet figured out the exact hardness of our water, except that even the local city water is very hard. Vinegar has been our friend to prolong the life of our coffee maker! Reviews on specific brands/models would be helpful if
possible...
