My friends and family will tell you that I am a homebody. My
home is very warm and inviting decorated in rich earth tones where I love to
spend time cooking and feeding those I am close to. It was a stretch for me to
consider leaving my nest and spend time at a shore house, a dwelling that
wasn’t mine. But, I love the beach and hey, it’s New Jersey – everyone should
experience having a shore house at least once! I loved every second of it – the
house was a 2 block walk to the ocean and far enough from the busy main area of
Sea Isle City that it was very quiet.

It inspired me to purchase my own shore place. Real estate prices being what
they are in NJ, I decided my get away should not break the bank but still offer
all

the amenities of being at the shore. I purchased a park model trailer (tiny house) in a
campground. A campground may seem like an odd choice but here in NJ, we have a
ton of wonderful campgrounds close to shore points that have served as getaways
for generations of families.

My piece of heaven is in the Pine Haven Campground located in Ocean View, NJ (3
miles from Sea Isle City). It is an older trailer (1987) and I made it my
mission to make it homey and welcoming. Even though my trailer is at the shore,
I did not want to go with a “shore theme”. No seashells or pastels here but I
did go with the cooler color palette of whites, greys, silvers and the result
is stunning – see for yourself!
