Kitchen pull placement on drawers?

My kitchen cabinets are going in today, and I have to decide where to put the pulls. They are slab front natural maple. Mainly the issue is with the drawer bases. The pulls (photo below) are 5" (all pulls, no knobs), and I will be going with 2 pulls on each drawer for those 27" and larger. The question is this: do I center them on each drawer? My sister suggested I center the top drawer in each base, and then have the pulls on the lower drawers the same distance from the top edge of the drawer as the top one. Meaning the top drawer would be centered, the bottom two would not. I saw a houzz photo like that and will attach it also. I thought they should just be centered on each drawer? I don't personally have a preference! As for the doors, I assume there is a standard height they come up from the top or bottom edge (I will mount them in the traditional vertical in the corner manner).

having a hard time finding centered in this context, which might be your answer! :) this might be the influence of modern kitchens that put pulls right near the top for all the drawers.

or it could be a bias among photographers. but I suspect that with large drawers (which are increasingly common), centered just looks... chunky. (and ends up low to the ground!)

I think the advice is good -- with a slim drawer, centered feels natural, but with a thick or deep drawer, centered would make it look chunky, and might be hard to leverage. Closer to the top in that case seems right.

Thanks! I think I do like the look of the higher pulls - not sure if it makes a difference that my bigger drawers will have two 5-inch pulls each, rather than one large one in the middle like the ones in the pics.

One more question in addition to the lower cabs I have two pull out cabs (spice and trash) and then one regular lower door cabinet and the sink base. As the drawers and the pull outs will have the handles placed horizontally, would it be weird to have the pulls on the three normal doors oriented vertically? I definitely want the doors on the uppers to be vertical.

I'd do them all vertical. wait, I think I have one from a rehab here... [rustle rustle]especially with the spice rack, there's not really another solution, I'd imagine! :)

So do all the doors vertical, and that will look ok with the drawers and pullouts being horizontal?
