I was lucky enough to meet the man of my dreams a few years ago and gave up my single girl city dwelling for his country home that was still under construction. What is nice is that we have been able to pick out most of the finishing touches together.
In past renovations I have always been attracted to the calming whites, gray/blues with natural wood tones. This house felt dark to me, so I wanted colour and went with bright blue. My husband already had the cabinets and the granite. I am struggling with the backsplash.

We ordered the blue 3x12 glass tile and the plan was to install in a brick pattern. I am worried now that it is too much of a departure from my style and that it is too trendy for me.

I am great at knocking down walls but colours and textures are really hard for me. I could use these tiles in a bathroom that still needs to be finished. Please let me know what you suggest!
