November goals are too long!!! I have 4 of the 11 months of 2016 Block Lotto samples finished, so I need to get the other 7 months (21 blocks) finished! I also have 3 or 4 small sewing gifts that need to be finished by the end of the month. If I get that all done, I will be thrilled! I am taking off on Wednesday for a week in Iowa, so no sewing then - yikes. Not sure who will be here for Thanksgiving - DH & I will have the full meal no matter what. DS is still working in the UK and DIL's family lives here, so if he doesn't get back I am sure she will go to their house. Will squeeze in sewing every chance I get.

I am embarrased and ashamed to admit that I have not touched my machine since Aug. 1st. I had a family project which needed to be finished and I knew if I were sewing, that would come first. What I have been doing is working on my Family Tree. It is a project I started many many years ago, put aside to work on occasionally. My daughters were anxious for me to finish and we are now in the home stretch. Thank you Ancestry.com.

Anyway, another few days and Amen!

I do have a few ideas for getting back to the machine and quilting.

by the way, of the 11 quilts that went to the bazaar, nine of them went on to good homes. Not sure how much money they brought in as they were not priced. It was a donation only deal.

Hmmm...not sure. :) I will probably work on my Provence and Beyond kit. And I think I'll do the Quiltville mystery, but in different colors. I'm also still sporadically working on my hand applique - I would really like to finish that!

I need to finish my second braided necklace so I can start one for my niece's Christmas gift.

One set of pillowcases made today.......to go with the Reds quilt. :-)

I'd like to get the Whispering Lace quilt finished and sent off to France. I should also put aside all those Ohio Star blocks I've been working on and get several quilt tops I have quilted. I started a Christmas table runner that I should work on too. Too many ideas buzzing around in my head right now.

OK, this is a test to see if I'm in again. I finally looked to see if I can post without all the added stuff (social media links, etc.) which I don't do and will not do. I've been reading all the posts since the change and have kept up with everyone. I've made several quilts since I last posted, some good ones, some not so good. I had to beg hubby to make me a quilt display ladder because I was running out of places to store them. It really turned out awesome. I want him to make me another one. I also broke away for a couple of weeks to do something else, I'd done so much quilting I was at the point where I couldn't find anything I wanted to work on. So I dragged out my rug hooking stuff and worked on that for awhile. But I'm back. Went to a quilt show in Crystal River recently, it was pretty good. A lot of applique and embellishment using beads, buttons, etc. which I don't do a lot of but it was worth the drive.

Rita, You know I live in Crystal River, right? Donna went to the quilt show, too.......all 3 of us could have met up........maybe another time. Glad to have you back to quilting, but I can understand wanting to break away and do something else for a bit.

I knew ya'll lived in Central Florida, but didn't realize that you lived in Crystal River, Sharon. Not until I read your post shortly after the discussion about the show there. Too bad you didn't know about it in time. I wouldn't have known about it if the LQS hadn't sent an email about it. I've been out of the loop pretty much, my FIL passed in July and he was very ill for quite awhile before that, much running back and forth to Tampa and lots of stress. Since his passing it's been very hectic trying to manage the estate process, Attorney, documents, etc. It's slowed down now and now I can think straight about my own stuff. And since I misunderstood about how this new site works, I didn't sign back up, I thought that you had to be a facebook member. I don't do the social media stuff and not very knowledgeable about the technical details on all this and didn't have time until now to check into it more closely.

We need to plan a retreat at Crystal River next year and all go to the quilt show. Sharon, let us know when it is.

I have 3 to quilt for DD's friend, and 2 tee-shirt quilts to do by Christmas. Also want to do 2 UFOs. Hope to get them done in Nov so I can play in December.

Rita, I'm sorry to hear about your FIL. I hope all the estate stuff is now settled!

The guild in Crystal River has a biennial show, so the next one will be in 2017, I guess. I'm sure there are other shows in the area, though!

My guild is moving its show from Jan. 2017 to November 2016 (maybe Oct, but I think I remember reading Nov.) in Orlando.

I'm finally making some progress on the Oh, Christmas Tree quilt. My Nov. goal is to finish the quilt and hang it in the entrance hall.

I am hand quilting a quilt. Slow going but I am enjoying the relaxing feeling.

I finished tying a quilt last month and I hope to get that one finished...only binding and label to do.
