My house is Mediterranean style, but my taste is modern and eclectic. The current fireplace is not even in working condition. I would like keep the two post and mantel since my husband made it (if possible) He could potentially divorce me if I change it. Since I live in California were it never gets cold, I would like to consider an electric fireplace.

Need ideas with room color scheme, bedding and window treatment.
