Photos in comments! I have a grey couch, dark espresso kitchen cabinets, I don't know that I'm a fan of this espresso media cabinet. Anybody else? It looks kind of cheap to me, and the color I'm not sure goes well next to my white fireplace.

I gotcha. That thing was such a pain in the @!&$ to hang though, so it's staying. Is the espresso good or should I get a different color? Thanks for your advice.

Haha I know how you feel, those tv wall mounts are a pain. Lighter wood might be a nice contrast but it really depends on what colors and style you're wanting for the rest of the space. Can you posts some pics of the style you like and are trying to create?

You need a much longer console for the TV. Get one that is as long as will fit the space, it doesn't even have to be centered on it as we can add some accessories to the other end to balance it out. Go with black if possible.

It's 65 in and not sure how long the wall is, is have to measure. I should have mounted the tv a lot further away from the fireplace..

Bryan, if the wall space allows, get a second unit, and butt them together. It will be cheaper than buying one that's 100 inches or more. But the media stand should be at least 25% longer tan the length of the TV. A longer stand will also place the TV off center of the stand (as you don't want to move the TV), for a more modern look.

Here is a black console, 83" $384. Excellent price. Wish it was taller than 20". If you can measure that wall and also the space from the bottom of tv to the floor. Gives a better idea what will fit. Also no drawers or doors, everything is open. Not sure if that is the look you want. Unsure what kind of budget you have for new unit.

Here's another $550. 85" and comes in black or white. But has doors, which is nice.

Thank you everyone. any other suggestions on color? Is the espresso ok with the white fireplace and grey couch?

I would go with white just to make it disappear more, but black or espresso probably makes the components less visible. I honestly don't know what it would mean if functional pieces like this had to "go with" a fireplace and/or a couch. This is fine.

If you are going to get a new longer one, then stay away from espresso, if you are keeping that just live with it. It's not going to work no matter what color it is.

Im definitely going to get a new one! Thanks!

Looks to me that everything is on the same side of the room. What is on the left side of your room. By the way this area has Great potential.

I agree that the console should be wider than the TV for balance. Checkout Standout Designs' solid wood media consoles. Made in the USA!
