Need help with flooring in converted office!

We are converting our front formal living room into an office. We will be adding walls with the French door painting the room a beautiful dark teal, and adding white coffered ceilings. The problem is our hardwood is no longer manufactured by Pinnacle. So we now need to find different flooring in this room.
I was thinking of going with a very dark hardwood where it looks purposeful , but now I'm guessing perhaps I should consider a porcelain tile that has more of a hardwood look to it. Although we are adding a wall, This will obviously need to look very different from what our existing hardwoods are; I really don't want to have carpet. My only concern about tile is if it will be too much of an echo, since I do use this as my office and often on conference calls. Any advice would be welcomed !
