Um, you want your washer to the right of the dryer? Most FL washers open to the left and the matching dryer opens to the right. The pipes for the sink and the washer should be closer, IMO. Personally, I'd reverse the washer and dryer. You could put some shelves on that 3'2" wall.

I could change them.. Did not really think about the opening. I could also stack them if it makes more sense.

Whats that space at the top of the picture? Its not labeled. I am not a specialist in layouts, but that is awkward and I wouldn't like the cramped area where you have the sink.

here is a quick very rough idea of something different. It looks like it will be hard to make this into a mud room too. The doors are in the way Could the powder room be made smaller to allow for more mud room space.

Anyway here is laundry room rough idea. Maybe others will come up with another plan or improve on mine.

As I look at that palatial powder room, maybe the right hand side of it could be borrowed and added to that space near the kitchen door. As it is that whole wall looks unusable for a mud room hook/hanging area because it is part of the walkway to the kitchen. But if you moved the wall down a bit you might be able to fit a wall unit in there beyond the walkway to the kitchen.

I noticed on your drawing that you have 24" designated for the W/D each. Are you using Euro sized units? If not you will need more like 30" wide space or more. You will need an inch or 2 on each side to move them in and out for maintenance.

Thanks Enduring. Agree about the powder room. Will be going out to take a look at it and walk the actual space with a measuring tape. It looks like going with a stacked W/D would be the best use of space.

Any other suggestion?
