Thank you so much for your advice. It is certainly encouraging news! Could you tell me what store you were mentioning in your last paragraph. Did you phone around each store to find out who carried the sizes you wanted? Would they tell you on the phone if they had the pieces? Do you think they would ship them, or is it only in store pick up?

It's only in store pickup. IKEA does not allow you to talk to the stores directly. Covina had some doors still. Some at full price, some on discount. All their Akurum stock was full price. They are still showing on inventory.

Carson had some doors showing in inventory. The rest is in as is and put out each day. I bought the Ramsjo door and cover panel from inventory and the toe kick from as is. Last Friday Carson had all the Akurum in every size stacked to the ceiling in as is and in inventory at 70% off but they were all gone the next day. I came back because I bought the wrong size on 2 boxes.

One man ripped a door from my hand in the as is section and dared me to do anything about it.

Most of the as is stock at Carson gets bought by Mexican resellers so unless you're right there at the exact time, don't bother. I had to wrestle people just to get 4 shelves cause it was like locusts descending on a field of grain. All you saw was heaving bodies.

Both Costa Mesa and Carson have women and children sitting there the entire day to grab stuff that comes out to the as is section.

As of Sunday, Costa Mesa only had cabs and drawers in as is. They can't tell about the doors because all their inventory was taken off line and they pull down from the rack each day to refill their as is section.

You can call IKEA and make them check stock for Covina. They don't like to do it but switch person or go up the chain til they do.

Covina is probably your best bet as it is huge and at full price. San Diego and Burbank also has inventory at full price.

Once a store shows the inventory you need, make IKEA call the store directly for a warehouse stock check to verify.

These stores are all in So Cal.

We are in a similar situation and none of the stores around here (PA) have any Akurum in the system or in the scratch and dent. We are missing cover panels and have had to make due with trying to replicate the finish of our cabinets to the best of our ability. We also have some broken hardware, but I think I'll be able to get that replaced under warranty.

Thank you beachem and bethjerome for your replies. It is so sad when people place material possessions above human dignity. I was afraid that it would be pick up only in stores, and that isn't possible for us due to location. We will try to make a few phone calls to Ikea as you suggested. Otherwise we will see if we can find a custom cabinet store that could replicate our missing drawers. Color matching can be pretty accurate. The other option would be to buy the new sektion drawer fronts in the off white bodbyn style, and cut them to size. However, I'm wondering if they are the same shade of white. Does anyone know if they are?

I have those fronts - I am replacing with a different front as Lindingo no longer available to finish my kitchen. There is a centered hole (single) on each front for a knob. let me know if you want them - free if you want.

Do you still have them? I'll take them. I'm looking to replace a cupboard I have with drawers. It would work great
