No Cure

last modified: 10 years ago

I see no cure for my addiction. I told myself no more, yet when I saw little pots of succulents at Walmart reduced to 64 cents, had to get a couple. A little pot of Ripple Jade, and a pot of Kalanchoe tomentosa, 'Chocolate Soldier.'

    Tomentosa or tormentosa?

funny, breathnez! You are right about torment...

Christopher, nice plants for excellent price. So you found some space after all, right? I am sure they will flourish in your care.

With me, it is more Crassula tormentosa, honestly.

The best way to rid yourself of a temptation is to yield to it. Good job.

You only bought two? Impressive self control!

Nice find! I wouldn't resist the urge, either!

I don't think I will be able to stop myself going back there tomorrow, unfortunately...

I would also be back there tomorrow, if I found a deal like that.....

I did, but I am too embarrassed to say what I got...just one plant, but...

Hey, as long as it made you happy!

What'd you get when you went back? I'm sure as long as it isn't painted no one will judge :)

Not painted, but something I said I would never buy. I have to learn to never say never.

Something you said you would never buy.....hmmm, curious minds and all that. A crested plant, Donald Trump's new book, a Furry tail?

You didn't buy a moon cactus, did you?

At that price you should not resist. This summer Lowes marked all their plants down to 1.00. At that price I did not want to bother picking them up one by one I had to resist just racking the entire shelves into the buggy.

I do not mind having duplicates because I like to make combo pots.

Tell me tell me tell me, or better yet show us a picture!

marquest, I too would want to shovel them in by the shelf full.

Well now you HAVE to tell us!!!! LOL! My vote is a bright fluorescent "moon" cactus.

I am thinking a moon cactus too, but if it something that you wanted, who cares what we think! You spent 1/3 the price of a cup of coffee to get a new plant friend!

We aren't going to judge. Tell/show us! As long as it makes you happy, that is all that matters.

Something succulently painted is my guess

Only one person on this forum knows, and she is not telling. At least, I hope not!

BTW Jeff, I love crested plants, but Donald Trump's book? Not so much.
