Does the fan work when mounted so high

I will have a vaulted ceiling in our master and wondered how long of a pole I can get without the fan wobbling...any idea?

    Because of the size of this room (39'L x 27'W x 14' H ) the electrician installed two fans, but didn't use any extension poles, and it works just fine. The two pairs of windows facing each other on opposite walls help also creating a draft, when necessary. (The windows on each side of the bed are picture windows,) Attached are photos of the room showing the length of the pole... probably no more than 16" long and of the four windows.

      Yes, the fan does work when up so high, but you won't really feel it cooling you off as much.
