Shelving?

In the corner on the left will eventually be a drum floor lamp but I'm wondering about putting some shelving over the TV area? Any suggestions to add some accent to that wall?

I would suggest just putting the three mirrors that are on the right hung vertically to move them above the tv hung horizontally. Remove the frames from the tv console and leave only the topiaries. Remove the items off the floor (on the right) that isn't a piece of furniture as well. This will give an opportunity to give the eyes a rest in that area and will also make the space feel larger. The more floor you see, the bigger the house will feel. I vote no to shelves as it will only require to add "stuff" on the shelves and make the area feel cluttered.

I agree with everything Darzy said, except, I would not put up the mirrors over the TV either. Why does everyone want to give the eyes stuff to fight with looking at the TV? I also do not understand the floor lamp in that space either. It does not seem to be in a very functional spot.

Thank you… My challenge is that I need light in the room. The only other light is a dome light over my sectional and then the chandelier light in my dining room. If I don't have a light there it's not much light in the room, then I have a very open corner there.

I will test to see the level of brightness with no light in the corner.

Flattering for most people is a table lamp or wall sconce in each corner. Height of current floor lamp does no one any favors. We all want to look our best - no?! I agree with removing all the little items from around the tv.

I don't mind the lamp there, but lamps that shine up like that really don't illuminate the area or room (just up). So, a lamp with shade would improve your lighting.

Replacing the lamp is an excellent move. I would take the frames off the TV console and that's it. Nothing above the TV. It will distract and will really do nothing to enhance the wall. I would remove the 3 mirrors and find another spot for them. Less is better.
