Try contacting a local pro from Houzz. Go to the "find local pro" button on the header and put in your zip code on the pull down menu, put in landscaper or landscape architect and review their profiles and project pictures. Your question is very geographically specific and many of the national and international designers here won't be able to help.

Is there a native plant nursery within 100 miles of you?

Lived in Florida and spent a great deal of time and effort researching and planting local planting when it was not considered cool (2000s)

I would start by researching here http://www.floridayards.org/fyplants/index.php and draw up a list of plants that you would like, then take them to a nursery (not Home Depot or such like) and talk to them in detail.
By the way, one of the best native plants that works very hard is Milkweed which attracts and feeds Monarch butterflies. There are also tons of wild grasses that you can use.
