Bringing together my master bedroom.

I need some ideas houzzers. We took a plunge and painted our room blue. I am in love with the richness of the deep navy! The remaining walls are a light blue. The ceiling and trim are ultra white. There is one main southern exposure window and a smaller north-facing one opposite.

Ok, here's my dilemma. What type of headboard should I do? I was thinking of a shimmery silver. Maybe in velvet? Something nice to touch. Also, I was going to make it myself, but need some inspiration as to size and shape. I am leaning towards a shorter height, just enough to read in bed and lean against without touching the wall.

We are also planning on putting in wall sconces, one on each side, but haven't decided yet on which ones. And last but not least, any ideas on bedside tables?

Shimmery sliver in velvet sounds lovely and i wouldn't go with a square head board maybe something with soft edges.

Love the color and I really like the nightstand next to the bed. That really caught my eye. Nice job. Well done.

Were you thinking for just the frame of it? They didn't have size/color combo I was interested in.

FYI, My bed is a cal-king.
Oh, and my DH does not like tufting. Or as he calls them, "puckers".

I could see a coastal style in your room. You can definitely work with what you have right now or invest in a few pieces.

I like Susan's headboard. Have you considered raising your curtains? Floor to ceiling curtains would have a big impact but I'd wait until your headboard arrives to choose any fabric other than white.

Thanks for the mockups! I am liking the feminine curve to the headboard.

We did think about raising the curtains while painting, but just got too tired to change them at that point. In the near future I think that's what will happen. But it takes me FOREVER! to settle on curtains that I like.

Darzy - did the price already go up? I'm seeing the price as $238...

She was mistaken for the Cal King size. I checked and that is price on front page for smaller one.

And i am seeing ones on Wally for about $100, also these guys - they seem cool you just peel and stick however many you need? I am thinking like Darzy said, all put together, just recover.

    queen = $88

havingdun- what's wally? And where did you find that awesome fabric?
Thanks for the encouragement everyone. We are going to go browsing this weekend.

In case your curious, the paint is Royal Navy, Homestead resort sky blue, cut by 25%, both valspar, both in eggshell.

Love the navy accent wall. My advice would be, don't skimp on the headboard. The wall is dramatic and I can see a nice substantial.headboard a to compliment it so don't go too small.

Mrsh, Wally is walmart. what i like about those squares is you can do the whole wall if you want and you can staple the material to the back. Fabric is from Fabric.com. If you are on a computer the link is right below the pic. When you look at pillows an curtains etc., 80-90% of those fabrics are on that site. I love that one and spoonflower, though spoonflower is more quirky and has no silver thread or velvet.

let us know if you need more help. I am a great, but cheap shopper. I cannot wait to see a blue bedroom, i adore blue!
