I have white cabinets and white tile in my galley style kitchen and I love it. Of course, when I make a spill, I have to clean but that is to be expected. I think you should expect the same thing for cream cabinets.

Also, if you have cream cabinets, you should also decide what you would like to do for backsplash, counter, and flooring. As the shade of cream that you select, for your cabinet, may reduce your design choices later.

As long as your painted cabinets are sealed or your chalk painted cabinets are waxed properly they will clean up and last for years. I have clients who have had both and they will last as long as painted and done correctly they will last and clean up nicely!

I prefer white. It's a timeless classic and ages well. Cream tends to look dirty as it ages, in my opinion.

i went with BM sea pearl, it's not white white, a bit of grey so they arent too bright.

I had the same problem choosing. My house is full of off-white but I liked the white white better. My KD convinced me to take 2 cabinet doors home with one in each color. Even though the off-white was a near match to my dining room and living room, I just loved the white white. My kitchen is finished and I'm very happy with my decision to go for white white.
