Everything is very nice except the heavy looking shelf above the couch. I would be afraid to sit there; afraid the shelf would fall down on my head.

Tregli, I have never used faux brick before and was wondering if you were happy with the up-close appearance of the faux bricks versus real ones? Do you think people would notice that the treatment was faux brick? I am considering a project myself and would really appreciate your input! I love your project and the color scheme you chose!

@pa fine arts, antiques & decorating: I LOVE IT! It looks extremely real and it's better than wallpaper because it's textured and appears and feels real. I say go for it!

Sure thing....I used the panels from Home Depot....they were very deep ree, not my style. I white washed them and sanded them. Then I actually added caulk in between each piece to mimic the appearance of brick. :)

I love the wall and the shutters and all. I am not fond of the dark, heavy shelf but totally get the look. wonderful job on the brick wall.
