The brick was custom painted to match the existing brick on the home. Unfortunately we do not know what the original brick is but the color is certainly beautiful.

Hi, I have a 700 sq foot beach cottage that is currently painted blue. I think this would look beautiful. Would you mind giving me the information on the color you found in New Jersey so I may also contact them... Also, it would be great to see pictures of how your exterior came out. Thanks for any help...

Are you knocking it down and rebuilding with new brick?
No, I will not be knocking it down just restoring it was built in
1938. It has at least 2 coats of paint that are peeling at the base. There is also mortaring work that will need to be done. I live a few blocks from the beach so there is a lot of moisture and I am a new homeowner... 6 months now. This is a good picture of my home but if you get up close the brick needs a lot of attention and I would like to bring back the real character of this home as well as preserve it. It has not been taken care of for a long time just lots of cover up work. In my reading I understand sand blasting and power washing of any kind is a no no, as well as wire brushing. If instructed properly I think I may be able to do this myself as my house is obviously not that big. However, if the my cost and time will not exceed what a professional can do then I would prefer that route, as well as what to look for and what questions to ask. thank you for your help.

Well, I admire you and your quest to renovate your brick. My advice is to keep what you have. Suggest you find a good stone mason to check out foundation, mortar, moisture etc. Only two layers of paint since 1938? Power wash it, gently. scrape it with wire brushes. Explore the moisture. Why are you asking me where I found my salt washed brick (as I like to call it). Since it's obvious you are not replacing your brick. That would be a knock down! I used it on foundation and outdoor FP new construction. Sorry, no photos yet.

What technique was used to paint the brick? Our home has dull brown brick and we want to brighten it up some. Love the look of your!
