HI -- Well there is potential here . Adding a peaked roof or a pediment façade would look better . Get the help of an Architect two work out some examples for you . What is inside this little porch entrance ? Is there space to add some little oval windows on the sides ? You could add some decorative raised panels on each side of the door front and have some bigger hanging lantern lights . Also some headers on the front windows , lower and the upper gables . Perhaps see if the eve troughs down spouts can be put to the sides or at least try to paint them to blend in with the bricks . I like the lines of your home they are very nicely proportioned. A few things that are easy will improve the appearance.

Paint the downspouts brick color as the white ones detract. Add larger lighting on either side of the porch entry and some snappy house numbers. A pot on either side with tall narrow plants (jasmine on trellis or Italian cypress, or yew) will soft the entry.

The entry porch/portage needs an accent over the top to fill the empty space. I've seen tall decorative metal that boxes in the three sides and believe it will solve this problem without a different roof. Use iron that is proportional to the space. This will keep the architectural style pure.

Then add window planter boxes in metal (black) or wood to the upper and lower Windows.
