Small Mudroom

I repurposed this old chest for our shoes I have already attached the 2 drawers together and have it ready to hang once I paint it . My dilemma is which wall to hang it on . Should I move things around ? As you can tell I have a very small area to work with ! I will be recovering the old bench

my choice would be the same wall as the door so as not to be looking at it all the time. put your newly upholstered seat on the newly vacant wall with a mirror/storage/both/other... above....giving you something more interesting to look at

Oh, that looks like an electric panel on that back wall, in which case you would not want to cover that up with something as awkward to remove as show storage would be. Put the shoe chest on the wall with the door, and a lightweight picture over the panel if you want a decorative cover.

How often do you go to your electric panel? Smile. For me that wouldn't be a concern. I just covered mine with 1700 printing press drawer that held type sets! I like the first option but I think it really comes down to practical use.. Yes?
