Are those cabinets White or Pink? What about warming them up with a glaze?

I think that the problem is the green paint--it makes the cabinets look pinker than they would look with a different color paint. It might be that an ivory color like you stools would be OK, but this is a tricky room. Given your situation, I suggest that you hire a color consultant to help you decide what color paint to use. In the meantime, take down the decor on the top of the cabinets, at least the fake plants.

The fireplace is lovely and should set the stage for the rest of the kitchen. Pull your colors from it for wall paint, and cabinet paint. You might want to look at BM Classic Gray or Simply White. I think the Classic Gray, while a very pale warm gray might play nicely with the cabinets, backsplash and fireplace.

I agree with you that the backsplash was not the best choice for this kitchen. White cabinets would make it all match, but I am not sure if that would give you the warmth you are seeking since wood is warmer than white. You might try some sample of a cream that would blend with the countertop - it is always difficult to tell colors on monitors. I also think that the color of your chairs is very pretty and might make a good wall color.
