However based on Nancy's drawing above and your sectional configuration, here are layouts that might work depending on the dimensions. I would mount the TV above the fireplace. I am not a fan of the pale yellow with the red leather sectional...............too much like McDonald's color scheme.

I like your wall color, it is refreshing that it is not gray, and it goes well with the kitchen color.

I would not put the TV over the fireplace, the mantel is high and the TV will be way too high.

Something like this?.. should i include the end tables over in the corner along with the matching rectangle coffee table?

So this layout you have assembled will kind of work if the TV remains against the wall........but the sectional really takes over your room doesn't it?

Your other option of placing the sectional against the right hand wall would then necessitate installing the TV over the fireplace, but it might make the room appear a bit larger. What do you think?

Yeah, this sectional is pretty big (ish) Im thinking about the TV over the fireplace myself. that way it opens that section a little. Yes it will probably stay against the wall i or the misses make our minds up, lol.

Put that TV on the fireplace and sit back and try to watch it for a few hours, then let me know about your neck and how it hurts:):):)

Okay gang Second Question. Should I go Dark wood (i.e. Espresso) wood blinds and entertainment center? or Match the current flooring?

Your home has all of that glorious natural light coming in! Get brown wood blinds and it will become a cave! Remove all blinds and use pretty fabric drapery panels.

I would not put up dark wooden blinds, however, you probably feel that you need something on the windows. Are you going to also put up curtains?

You can get an espresso TV stand, but how do you feel about the black. Would a black one work, or what about a color that is the same color as your coffee table. I do not think that you have to match the TV stand to the floor.

I assume that you are going to reface the fireplace.

@Shirlpp, I haven't thought about curtains. I was just going to keep the blinds with an open face, but curtains are possible. Im open for ideas. Now, black is my fav, but I'm thinking about other options, like the color of the coffee table or expresso. Fireplace will be down the road...

The colors of the curtains depend upon the color that you are going to paint the walls, and are you keeping the burgundy sofa. If you are keeping what I see in these pictures, I'd probably go with a cream/off-white curtain or maybe something in the green family(sage, moss).

That middle picture posted by Nancy Ingram, looks like a nice layout and features light gray walls, with a lighter TV stand. If you'd use the gray walls, then you'd go with maybe a gray or white curtain.
