if you are willing to let go of the pinch pleat top, you can shorten drapes from the top by folding over the top rather than hemming and using clip rings. this works best with light to medium weight fabric.

many dry cleaners do tailoring, check there as well.

countrycurtains.com now does hemming at a great price but i don't believe they do 108" lengths in any style.

Hand hemming is a very easy job but you can get iron on hem tape that is a no brainer so unless you want custom that is what I would do.

I might be able to handle the fold over on top. I'm really afraid of ironing drapes. I'm hoping that an inexpensive steamer could do the trick. Thanks for the suggestions! I'll also call the local dry cleaners.

Try checking out King sized flat sheets, the better the quality the better the look!

Some dry cleaners may shorten draperies for you. Inexpensive pinch pleated draperies are often unlined and skimpy, so try hanging them first to see if you like them before paying for shortening.

in for a penny in for a pound, bette's idea is great. but it isnt easy or inexpensive, the added fabric has to have the correct hand to make it work.

if you do fall in love with this idea (and i would) buy a second pair (or panel) of the same drapes in the other color you want. the fabric will be identical, wash identically and shrink indentically. you won't need the 108, only a 95 or 84 plus a 63 to cut up.

That's a great idea! I sure wish drapes came in varying lengths....
