It's not the windows.........it's the courtyard. Do some landscaping to make the view more inviting.

Sorry, I should have mentioned we're starting the landscaping work also. Unfortunately, it's not a courtyard though, it's a walkway, so there isn't a ton of space to do much. The plants will soon cover the fence at least, so there should be some greenery going forward. Now, back to the windows...

A light filtering shade would work well. "Top Down Bottom Up" shades are nice, and allow more control of privacy and light flow into the space. A shade that allows the light to flow and a view into your garden's greenery would be a good choice.

New windows or French doors that go from the ceiling to the floor would look great, especially with the new plants and landscaping that you are putting outside.

I like those options for treatment, what about casing? Something prominent? Case them separately or together?

Like the 4 drapes idea. Sheers might be nice, not so heavy

The windows are great! I wouldn't change them at all...just dress them to go with your decor. The woven blinds would be beach-y and appropriate and they would also look great with curtain panels layered over in a color that continues your theme.

The bottom windows are what really make it a wall of windows...I'd hate to see you take those out... Just my 2 cents :)

Love the windows!!!! I wouldn't worry about the casings. Like the 4 panel idea or if you are beauty/tropically - do inexpensive bamboo rollups!

What's boring is the landscaping - since you're already planning to fix that, talk with your landscape designer about ways to make that view sing. I think your windows are beautiful and need nothing other than a pretty view.

I would go neutral and not remove your bottom windows.

Once your courtyard is landscaped some nice linen panels creating a one window feel will really soften and war up your room
