I just had a new shower system installed in our bathroom and find it fantastic. We installed a simple shower arm with a square rain shower head, but the important thing was, that the arm came down far enough on the wall where there was a valve that was easy to reach and operate for the connected hand shower for which I chose a European style tube like fixture. I also had considered a shower massage tower but after visiting my brother in Germany who had one of those, the different valves and knobs were almost impossible to move as the various minerals in the water had adhered to them within the tower and apparently were hard to get to to clean. Additionally there were printed button indicators for the various shower sprays which also were impossible to identify due to the water deposits and I almost scalded myself one day by accidentally pushing the wrong one. In my shower there is never a question of which button to push or how to get the water to the temperature I like while I have shampoo all over my head and can't see very well anyway. Additionally I found that on most of those towers the shower spray heads are much too high and would have hit me in the face or above since I am not very tall. Who wants that hassle when you are in the shower?
