You have to much of a frontage to cover... Your best bet is to find a local Landscaping/Design company who know which plans are good for your area, and by providing them with a budget, they can put for you a few packages together.

i do not know where you live, but as a home owner, I have done more than one front yard in my time, both in the city in FL and in small town MD. your yard is by no means too large. Actually the shade will probably make it one of the easiest you have ever done.

i would be very careful with trees. Because my front yard back home was small, though larger than yours, I used no trees, I planted bushes, that got to be about 8 ft tall and trimmed them to be trees. At last note, 15 years later, they all had topped the roof of the house, so that size is a relative thing. I would probably put one on the right side of the house for max light and make it one of the very small magnolias, like a star.

I had a very dark side to my home up north, and it was only about 3 foot deep. easiest beautiful garden i ever planted. Plant azaleas or Rhododendrons, they love shade, more shade the better. I then planted hostas, more varieties the better. every spring i would fill in with a flat of impatients, they too love shade. With the extra space you have you can also plant ferns if you like, astilbe, painted japanese fern, though i like bloomers.

Important thing to remember right now is to box in the front with bricks or garden timbers, and fill that with good ingredients, because building always leave behind bad things. Have fun!
