Sink placement and overhang

So, due only to homeowner error, we can't place our sink beneath the middle of the double windows... If I move it to the right so that it is under the right-hand window, any overhang will cut into the window (not just the trim!) to the right of the sink run/peninsula:

However, if I move it to the left, I think it will look really bad, and we will also be back to having a very very narrow passage to the (closed-in; not a walkway) pantry on the left.

I am perfectly willing to have the overhang cut into the window, though obviously we would cut an L into it, yes? We would also likely have to do a 9" overhang, given my really really bad math work here.

It is not an option to move the windows, and we are committed to having a breakfast bar/overhang. We have 72" of length for it, and I mostly imagine my kids eating breakfast there, doing homework, and a friend having a glass of wine while I make dinner.

Advice greatly appreciated!

The sink being offset from the window doesn't bother me at all - certainly much less than the bar covering the window. I still worry about the aisles of course, but I know those are going to be small regardless!

eliminate the 9 inch cabinet left of sink base.....move the run over to the left so you can have the overhang you wish. It doesn't matter where the sink ends up-you want seating and overhang and that is a significant detail in your plan. the cabinet you omit isn't the end of the earth...template some counter that extends left of sink base with a cut back angle so your walk passage there is comfortable...may not be perfect....but with the small cabinet you are making it be too tight I think. Compromise is needed .

Can't you give a little curve to the overhang near the window?

Or if you decide to eliminate the 9" cab you can add a small drop down counter next to the sink cab.

My thoughts exactly... loose that cab, scoot everything over, and you're good to go
