Terrible smell in product purchased

Just purchased the Laredo Large Rectangular Storage Ottoman Bench. What is this smell/odor and how can I get rid of it? I cannot put my linens, etc in this bench with this odor present. Thanks

They were unable to give me definitive answer so they are sending me another. Will see if smell is present in new one. Give me couple days and send another comment and hopefully I can provide results.

Still has same odor....Currently letting air out in open area to see if it totally goes away before try to use
