Dragon fruit plant is turning brown

Hey everyone!

I purchased three cuttings of dragon fruit a month ago and they have just recently started to grow. They are growing quickly now but the original cutting is starting to turn brown and callused at the tips. Is this normal or should I be worried?

I also have them under and LED light for about 16 hours a day and some nights I forget to turn off the light so they receive prolonged exposure. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I think you should be fine. Mine is under 300watts, not directly but does get good enough exposure. I would cut the time to maybe 12hrs. They do like to be watered often. I use spray bottle on daily bases to spary the pot and aerial roots. I am still learning myself with potted trees. Browning could be due to cold. Not sure if anything else would cause it.

Thank you for the input. I'm starting to think the set up I have might be a little too intense. They have grow about 4 inches in two weeks however and the brown scare looking parts don't seem to be spreading which is a sigh of relief. Hopefully in another couple weeks I will have a better idea of the overall condition of the dragon fruit!
