I wouldn't put up anything over it that will compete with that view! Either put up drywall, or consider painting it the color of the walls an let it blend in.

White was my first thought to blend with wall - Then Black came to mind.

You space is beautiful but if you look at that fireplace it is really pulling it down. If you paint it, it will be clean, light and fresh but the same style and shape will remain. Search for ideas or get professional advice on updating it to look modern and contemporary so that it enhances your room. As always, nothing can add elegance like a beautiful baby grand piano!

Beautiful space! I absolutely love your art and sculptures. Actually didn't even notice the fireplace at first because the color of the stones work with the other elements in the room. If you really want a more modern look, I would probably consider having a designer help you on this one. Your room is already so beautiful!
