The receptacle is on the 2nd floor ceiling & we were told to hang it down between the two floors. We think we need a 42"--is this correct? We like simple cylinders. Does anyone have these or know which companies carry these or know which companies have these?

There are transoms over 6 ft openings to rooms on both sides of the entrance.
