Great, thanks for the input! I think 4x8 it is. I am thinking of asking for a "50/50" install (where bricks are 50% offset on each row), however I hear that with the large bricks some installers are only installing them "70/30". This is apparently having to do with the large tiles not being perfectly flat and I guess with a 50/50 install that fact is more readily apparent... Anyhow, thought I would ask the question here in case anyone has any experience with it or has strong opinions as to whether one is better than the other.

What if you used a beveled tile? Even if the white is whiter than the cabinets it would be more textured and add a little interest. Otherwise you may just have to keep bringing samples of shades of white, ivory, etc home to see in the same lighting as the cabinets.
