Black and white are timeless. Have you considered cream or white? Cream is my suggestion

Your welcome. We will be doing the soffits and all the eave troughs in black. We only installed the fascia 5 months ago and so far they haven't needed cleaning ( I live in an area that is quite windy and I get snow and rain in the winter). They got dusty from the reno before being installed and I just gave them a quick wipe with some soapy water. I just went and looked at them and they don't look like they need to be cleaned yet . On my last house we had installed white fascia, soffits and eave troughs and they needed to be cleaned often as they got dirty quite easily and stains appeared on the eave troughs (drip marks) that were very difficult to clean. I could lighten the drip marks using a strong cleaner but could never completely get rid of them so even after cleaning they would still look a bit dirty hence one reason for switching to black. On all the roof edges where there won't be eave troughs we went to one of our local roofing companies and had them bend drip edge in black. Even though the fascia, soffits and eave troughs all came from different companies the blacks all look good together. Hope this helps.

I had black? It faded to grey. Be prepared to pull it down and replace. Luckily mine were only on the shutters. Pulled them down and used a krylon paint specifically for them. $$$

I am purchasing a home .The fascia is brown and the house has a tan gray brick front. Can i put on a white fascia and leave the brown soffits

Rick, start a dilemma of your own for more comments but, NO don’t do it. can’t you pick a color that coordinates with what you can’t change? White and brown no. Rich cream, maybe. Pics will help you get more advice.

My new home (under construction) with a black flat tile roof has a painted black soffit and facia with black windows and I love it. The house is BM white wisp, not glaring but a soft white.

I would NOT use black soffit with green roof and brown shingles. Also would seriously urge anything other than vinyl. Hardie products are fantastic no maintenance products, and at 60 even real cedar shingles will probably never be your problem! :)

Renee Roberson I used Kaycan 4 panel Black LG for my soffits. I had a local roofing company make up all the fascia and drip edge using low gloss black and the Kaycan Black LG (low gloss) soffit looks great with it. Kaycan also sells a spray paint can of the Black LG which was perfect for touch ups if you get any scratches. Definitely worth getting a can or two. I live in a very sunny area and haven't noticed any fading yet but should it occur on the fascia or drip edge I would just clean it up and spray with the Kaycan spray paint. I had white on my last house and I found that the fascia and gutters had some staining especially after a new roof install and that has not been any issue with the black. I found the maintenance with white fascia, gutters and windows etc. was much more that I have found now having black. I don't know exactly where you are located so this is the link for Kaycan US.
