Need help on wall art for my master suite

Hi there,

Hopefully this time my post doesn't get removed by Houzz or people reporting me to Houzz due to using incorrect synonyms to describe what i want on my MS.

I am looking for something that has a romantic vibe on a art piece or maybe something that would compliment my decor.. I am thinking color would help on the art piece. I am open to suggestions. Many thanks! Aloren

Check out my artwork for ideas. I have many pieces that can go on the wall above the bed or the white walls. My figurative series will be a good fit for you. I also have a tree series that's very popular.

All listed here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/ShoaGallery  I've just done a massive reduction of my originals to make room for new work. The canvas prints can be done in many sizes.

Some samples below. Enjoy decorating! Your room is beautiful. :)

Ooh lala!!! KShoa , i love the second image!!! Do you have one with short curly hair? I have curly hair. WOW!!! I love them. I am on the fence of getting an art piece with color or keeping it very simple with the art piece. I will be checking out your store. :) thank you.

Leave the wall over the bed blank and put your art on other walls.

I noticed the thread was deleted too! Is there another wall to hang it?

hi @S Mistry Creations , i was bummed that they removed my posting. Someone must of gotten offended by my post by me using the wrong synonym. What do you mean, "is there another wall to hang it"? i have bout 4walls that are bare in my MS. I have two bare walls on the right side of the wall. There is a big window in the middle (on the right side of the bed, you can kinda see the shutters). Then i have a large wall on the left side of the bed, but i plan on placing my lingerie armoire on that side. The armoire width is about 44" wide. But the wall is relatively wide.

Another wall where you can hang the art vs over the bed. I feel like a large piece doesn't fit there.

@andrea I don't have one with curly hair unfortunately :) I think your color scheme can go in any direction.

I played with your room a little. If you post more photos I can make other recommendations for you.

Glad you like the artwork! :)

Canvas print (the original is available in 30x40):

Original (can do prints too but not listed right now):

    Canvas print.

    Original or canvas print.

And some of my other series...

    Canvas print:

Many many colors of these 12x12 originals are available. I'm posting the gray set.

Feel free to let me know if I can be of any help.

i will need to take measurements of the space i have above my headboard. I definitely don't want something ginormous that eats up all the space above the headboard. i was thinking of something along the lines like: a rectangular shape frame or 2 small square frames. I still plan on placing valances on each side where the lamps are.

omg!!!KShoa, My brain is on "overload"!!! I am not sure why i gravitate towards the one with the lady laying on her side. I need to run this through my hubby and see what his thoughts are on the one that i gravitate towards to. Did you say you have more art work that you are currently working on? :)

What you don't need is another rectangle since you already have two rectangular windows--a rectangular headboard plus a rectangular bed and two bedside tables that are sort of rectangular. And let's not forget the accent wall.

You really don't want a picture over the bed that lines up with the tops of the windows.

hmmm. i have to think about that @leelee. i still want something above my headboard. Just trying to decide on color and size and shape. The opportunities are endless when decorating a home. :)

How about some Mapplethorpe floral prints? (And I agree, not above your headboard.) Your room turned out pretty!

A group of 2 or 3 smaller perhaps on another wall. Your bed wall is perfect! You can add a sunburst mirror up there but it's pretty typical.

omG!!!! Hi there! @Lori East, thank you. Been super busy with it. I really do love these too!!! Where can i see more of these types of art for my bedroom. I can place these types of art on the side of my large window ( which is not showing on the picture on the right). I still feel that i want something by the headboard. Okay, what about something round ( not to big).?? :) please let me know where you found the images or art pieces. thanks.

Here's one of my work in progress rooms. Art should be hung at eye level and way above your headboard looks way too high

    large mirror above the bed?

I thought the headboards were about the same height.. Could it be the contrast? Since my wall is darker than my headboard? The headboard on your picture almost same family color as the wall. @S mistry creations.

Art is a really personal choice, and you have so many options :) When you see the Art you love, you will know! And it will be the right piece for you, Hubby and the room.

In the mean time here are some images that some of the commenters have suggested.

no Art above headboard, Art on side wall

    Art above headboard

Here is what no Art looks like this seems too stark for you.

Large art on side wall, not above head board.

I was making a distinction between art vs mirror or metal art. Those gorgeous original art drawings/photos/etc should be enjoyed up close and personal. A rectangular piece of art up there will seem too high and box in your bed. Add a round mirror for visual interest or leave it alone. That's my suggestion.

Photoshop in a round mirror or other round wall decor and see how you like the look

Oops... My wall dimension where my headboard is located is: 88" W x 52"H.
The wall that is located on the right side of the bed (where you see part of the window shutter are: 46" W ( the one close to the lamp on the right) the other side is 42"W. (Which is doesn't show on the picture. I will upload pictures of both side walls of our MS. Allred

Maybe a few medium size art pieces going vertically next to armoire?

Hi @S Mistry Interiors, i am waiting on my shipment for my art to arrive. Most likely i will leave the wall plain right above my headboard. I will add some art on the other walls. Still flipping back and forth. Until i get my art wall then i will start working on drapes for the windows right next to the bed. :)

Hi Andrealoren, did you buy some Art?

It will be arriving soon. :)

Sorry to respond to your comment so late (and, thank you!). While I'm certainly not a proponent of destroying books, you could purchase from Amazon Mapplethorpe's "Mapplethorpe Flora: The Complete Flowers" and gently with an X-acto knife slice out the beautiful images you like, for framing. I certainly wouldn't typically endorse this, but sometimes it's a way to enjoy these beautiful (expensive) artworks without keeping them hidden away between the covers, on a bookshelf. (Hope I don't offend too many.)
