I know peanuts normally require a lot of heat and wouldn't do well here in Bay Area, but I saw an ad in one of my seed catalogues-- maybe Baker Creek?-- for a variety that they said will do well in cooler climates and included my zone, 9, as one that would be okay. Of course, this area has lots of microclimates, though, and it gets pretty cool at night. So I'm wondering if anyone has ever tried to grow peanuts? I don't have room in my garden this year, but it seems like a fun thing to try another year.
